A Thorough Review of BloomsyBox Flower Delivery & Subscriptions

Coming soon!

BloomsyBox delivers fresh flowers right to your door weekly, biweekly or monthly. BloomsyBox is definitely a service that is built on a foundation of experience.

What is BloomsyBox?

BloomsyBox is a Florida-based company that is primarily focused on flower subscription services and general flower delivery services.

In the grand scheme of things, BloomsyBox can still be considered as a relatively new startup company – only being formally established in 2015. The company’s founder, Juan Palacio is a Colombian immigrant who used to spend time on arabica coffee farms with his grandfather back in his home country.

After arriving in Miami, Palacio established himself as a door to door flower salesman (specifically targeting hotels in Miami Beach) and over time he eventually built a collection of loyal clienteles.

Not content with settling for adequacy, he eventually sought to formalize his operation and create a solid foundation for himself.

BloomsyBox was not his first foray into the volatile world of floral e-commerce. Palacio taught himself SEO and online marketing and then went on to create “theflowerexchange.com”.

This floral e-commerce website was a moderate success but he eventually sold it in 2009 and devoted himself to more corporate pursuits.

BloomsyBox serves as Palacio’s grand return to the floral industry; let’s see if his long-standing expertise will allow it to endure and prosper.

How much do BloomsyBox flowers cost?

BloomsyBox’s  average pricing could be classified as “mid-range”.

If you are operating on a strict budget, then you can easily find more affordable flower retailers out there but that does not mean that BloomsyBox’s products are not worth their asking price.

While BloomsyBox hasn’t stated that they accept more contemporary payment options like Google Pay and Apple Pay, customers will be happy to know that they at least accept PayPal payments. Also, as you would expect, they accept payments from major credit cards, such as: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express.

If you are thinking about using BloomsyBox to satisfy your floral needs, first you establish what type of purchase you’re looking to make: a subscription package or a one-off bouquet.

What type of flower options do BloomsyBox offer?

###

One-Off Bouquets

The one-off bouquets are self-explanatory and fairly straightforward; you look at their catalog, pick what you like, finalize your order, and then wait for it to be delivered.

These bouquets vary in price but they usually fall somewhere in the $49.99 to $79.99 range and the variety is reasonably adequate.

It is also worth noting that there is a subcategory in the one-off bouquets – the Martha Stewart collection. As the name would suggest, this collection consists of flowers that have been curated by Martha Stewart and her team.

BloomsyBox Subscription Packages

BloomsyBox has a considerable number of subscription plans so you’re bound to find one that suits your needs. Here are each of the packages and their corresponding prices:

BloomsyBox Weekly – $69.99/week

This is as frequent as you can go with a BloomsyBox subscription, you’ll get a different bouquet each week.

In our honest opinion, this subscription package does not seem too viable in the long term because you’ll end up paying about $280 a month for flowers – great if you’re a flower fanatic but the average shopper should probably consider a different package.

BloomsyBox weekly

BloomsyBox Bi-weekly – $69.99/bi-weekly

This package is half as frequent as the weekly one and it seems to be great for people who are enthusiastic about flowers and have a flexible enough budget that supports their passion. This subscription plan works out to about $140 per month.

BloomsyBox Bi-weekly

BloomsyBox Original – $59.99/mo

Its name might not be the most descriptive but this package is, in essence, BloomsyBox’s small monthly subscription package (I guess “Bloomsy Small” doesn’t have the same ring to it).

This subscription package usually includes: roses, lilies, gerberas, dendrobium orchids, hydrangeas, and minicallas.

BloomsyBox Deluxe – $69.99/mo

This monthly subscription package is a step up from the aforementioned Bloomsy Original. So, as you would obviously expect, the “Bloomsy Deluxe” could translate to “Bloomsy Medium”.

The bouquet that you get here will be noticeably larger than the one that comes in the Bloomsy Original package. This subscription package usually includes: sunflowers, irises, roses, tulips, and alstroemerias.

BloomsyBox does also state that this subscription package is by far their most popular one.

BloomsyBox Premium – $79.99/mo

If the Bloomsy Original was the small option and the Bloomsy Deluxe was the medium option, then as you would expect, the Bloomsy Premium package is the company’s large monthly subscription package.

This subscription package usually includes: roses, peonies, lisianthus, freesia, callas, and hydrangeas.

BloomsyBox Roses – $69.99/mo

The Bloomsy Roses package is exactly what its name would suggest, a subscription package for people who only want to receive roses.

This subscription package usually includes these types of roses: Paloma, High and Magic, Country Blues, and Lemonade.

BloomsyBox:  Delivery Details

BloomsyBox’s delivery services are what you would expect from a company of their caliber.

It is quite obvious that because they are a US-based company, that is where they provide shipping to.

However, there is a catch, they actually only provide shipping to the contiguous United States (that is, the 48 adjoining U.S. states). Sadly, what this means is that Alaska and Hawaii are out of luck.

Still, BloomsyBox manages to be an extremely competitive force in the locations that they serve.

Where does BloomsyBox deliver?

Here is a complete is of areas in the United State where BloomsyBox won’t be shipping flowers to:

  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Puerto Rico
  • Guam
  • American Samoa
  • U.S. Virgin Islands
  • Northern Mariana Islands

One of the great things that is worth noting is the fact that all of their subscription packages technically have free shipping.

We say technically because the truth of the matter is that shipping costs for the subscription packages are already bundled into the price that is quoted on their website.

What time does BloomsyBox deliver?

BloomsyBox deliver Tuesdays through Fridays. This means that if holidays or your own personal celebrations happen to fall on the weekend, you have to plan accordingly.

Customers should also keep in mind that if they go for one of BloomsyBox’s subscription packages, shipping occurs at predetermined times.

For example, if you have paid for a monthly BloomsyBox subscription, you can always expect that you will get your deliveries between the 16th-23rd of each month.

Customers should also keep in mind that their very first BloomsyBox order from a new subscription plan will always be the exemption to this rule. Instead, customers can generally expect that their very first order from a subscription package will arrive 5 to 7 days after BloomsyBox receives the order.

What occasions does BloomsyBox cover?

BloomsyBox doesn’t  curate their catalog to provide customers with recommendations based on popular holidays, personal events, or significant celebrations.

BloomsyBox has steed that their flowers are perfect for any and all occasions. However, they have singled out a few occasions on their website, these include:

  • Birthday
  • Anniversary
  • Mother’s Day
  • Valentine’s Day
  • Wedding
  • New Baby

What type of flowers does BloomsyBox provide?

Some of BloomsyBox’s most popular and most common flower types include:

  • Roses
  • Tulips
  • Sunflowers
  • Hydrangeas
  • Peonies
  • Lisianthus
  • Orchids
  • Freesia
  • Callas
  • Alstroemerias
  • Gerberas
  • Irises

BloomsyBox has partnered with over 48 family owner flower farms in the United States, Colombia, and Ecuador.

The Verdict on BloomsyBox

Juan Palacio’s standing experience as a veteran of the floral industry definitely shows in the way that BloomsyBox operates.

The company has definitely managed to strike a balance that very few of their competitors could hope to match in the short time that the company has been operating, it has managed to become one of the most dominating forces when it comes to flower subscription services. It is undeniable,

BloomsyBox definitely gives you the best bang for your buck.
